4 Minutes for Yourself · ReadyToTalk.Today
Short, thoughtful video reflections about the experiences that shape everyday life—values, difficult thoughts, relationships, decisions, stress, meaning and change.
A small interruption in a busy day
Four minutes can be enough to interrupt the noise, notice something important and ask a better question.
4 Minutes for Yourself is a recurring series from ReadyToTalk.Today and Discern Counselling. Each episode begins with one practical or reflective idea and creates a little room to consider how it may connect with your own life.
The objective is not to provide a diagnosis, prescribe an answer or turn a brief video into therapy. It is to offer something worth thinking about—and perhaps a useful place to begin a conversation.
Episode library
The series will launch here and on YouTube. Each episode page will include the video, a concise summary, reflection prompts and related resources.

What you can expect
Each episode stays focused enough to consider without demanding that you absorb an entire lecture.
The reflection continues after the video through a question, observation or small invitation to notice.
Brief does not need to mean simplistic. Difficult experiences deserve humility, nuance and respect.
The video should be useful on its own. When you want to go deeper, additional resources and a conversation are available.
Education and reflection
The videos and accompanying material provide general education and reflection. They are not psychotherapy, medical advice, diagnosis or a substitute for professional care. Watching, reading, commenting or contacting the channel does not create a therapist-client relationship.
Psychotherapy through Discern Counselling is available only to people who are physically located in Ontario at the time of service. If an episode raises something you would like to explore personally, a complimentary consultation can help us consider whether therapy—and whether working together—may be appropriate.
